Happy May Day - Happy Traditions and The Law of Attraction

When I was a kid, I loved May Day.

In preparation for it, we would make "May Baskets" at school out of construction paper and then on May 1st, we'd take them home and on the way, we'd fill them with flowers from the neighborhood.

My Mom loves Lilacs and we always had Lilac bushes so I'd usually use those.

It was fun to knock on the door and run off, watching from afar as Mom opened the door and pretended to be surprised about the flowers.

Just abut now, you may be thinking, "ok, that is sweet but what does it have to do with The Law of Attraction".

I'll tell you.

It has absolutely EVERYTHING to do with it.

You see, The Law of Attraction is NOT something outside of your daily life.  I

t does not just come up when you think about it or do affirmations.

It is in LIFE ITSELF!

Just like the Law of Gravity is working every second of every moment of every day, so are ALL the other Universal Laws including The Law of Attraction!!!

In every moment, you are vibrating at a certain frequency, whether you know it or not.

That frequency is what goes out and attracts back to you all that you get.

It doesn't matter if that vibrational frequency is being created by a thought about something going on right now, a memory from your past, or a thought about the future.

The vibration that is being emitted by you right now is what is attracting your life to you.

What you already have in your life, you have attracted by your prior dominant vibration.

I realized a while back, that even though I never knew the words "Law of Attraction" when I was younger, the reason things went well is because we lived in alignment with the vibration of happy things and thus attracted more happy things, most of the time.

Like May Day!!!

I loved May Day as a child and it made my happy.

Now, as I remember May Day with fondness, it again feels good to me.

And in that "feeling good", I emit the vibration of "feeling good" and thus am right now attracting more to me that will "feel good" when it gets here.

That is actually how it works and is working.

It is that simple.

You create your life as you go along.

And you do it, with the thoughts that create your dominant vibration.

Happy May Day!

  2. Wow, Kathy, I used to do this too and it was one of my fondest memories from childhood.

There was one neighbor who needed hope one year. He was down on his luck, out of a job and not healthy. I think his wife had left him too. My friends and I were about nine and we felt this real need to give someone hope with our May Day basket so we made a larger one for him. He opened the door, knelt down to pick it up. I swear I saw him cry. Things started to turn around for him after that. That for me demonstrated the law of attraction. What he needed to receive, we needed to give.

  4. Hi Kathy,

When I saw the title of your post in UBC, my immediate thought that it was strange that I have not heard anyone mention May Day since I was in elementary school. I, too, have fond memories of May Day celebrations. The best part for me was the parades that I would participate in.

  7. I, too am a believer in the Law of Attraction. We give off a certain frequency, and that will attract more life to us! Thanks for sharing, and will be visiting your posts!
