9 Things You Can Do To Raise Your Vibration

Yesterday, I gave you the Emotional Guidance Scale and explained what it is and why it is important to your own improvement and living a happy life.

Today, I'm going to give you 9 things that you can start to do as soon as now to raise your vibration.

These are not listed in any order of execution.  Just pick one or two that feel easy for you to do and do them.

1)  Listen to happy, uplifting, positive music.  Music can have a very high vibration quality.  Make sure that if you listen to anything that brings back memories that they be good memories or else pick some other music.  The idea is for it to make you feel good or at least, feel better.

2)  Do something physical.  You don't have to do full out exercise but you can if you want.  Get up and jump up and down.....yes, literally, jump up and down.  Dance to that music you are listening to.  Take a walk.  Anything to actually get the body moving.

3)  Smile.  It is a scientific fact that the act of smiling releases "happy" chemicals into your brain that make you feel better.  So smile more often.  Smile right now, as a matter of fact.

4)   Laugh.  Yep, just like smiling, laughing releases even more "happy" chemicals into your brain.  Watch happy movies or happy youtube videos or anything that makes you laugh.

5)  Call someone you love.  Just make sure as you are talking to them that you talk about happy, positive things and not the latest bad news or gossip.

6)  Look around your environment and find some little tidying up task and do it.  Just that one little task.  Every time something gets better, it helps everything get better.  If feels really good to accomplish something so make sure this is something easy and simple that can be done in a small amount of time.

7)  Stop watching TV news.  Stop reading News.  Stop listening to News.  Remove all negative News reports from your social networks.  Remove all negative posts from your social networks.  Make sure that what you listen to and watch and read are positive things.

8)  Make sure to stay well fed and well rested.  Most people do not realize that there is more "energy" stored up in negative memories than in positive ones.  When you do not take care of the body by being fed and getting enough rest, the body will get that needed energy from those negative memories.  That is why you will see people being "grumpier" when they are hungry or tired.

9)  Have a positive book to read.  Listen to positive messages.  Have positive posts on your social networks by following positive, uplifting people.  Stay in a positive mode in all you do as much as possible.

There you go.  Nine ways to raise your vibration.  I assure you, if this seems a bit difficult at first, like all things, it will get easier the more you do it until this will just be your habitual way of living.

Where Are You On The Emotional Guidance Scale and Why Does It Matter?

Most people want to improve their life in terms of more money, better relationships, health, and happiness yet have no idea where they are now or how to improve.

A key indicator where you are now is where you are on the Emotional Guidance Scale.

Overall, if you are feeling good more often than not, then you are probably doing "OK".  If you really want to improve, you can learn and deliberately rise up this scale.

Why does this matter?

As one increases their vibration and moves up the Emotional Scale to where they feel good emotions such as love, gratitude, joy, happiness, contentment, serenity, peace, etc. most of the time, other human characteristics go along with that.

People higher on the Emotional Scale are also higher in confidence, responsibility, integrity, truthfulness, communication, health, relationships, organization, cleanliness, getting along with others, politeness, empathy and other human traits.

This makes them more successful and happier overall.

Being higher in vibration, not only helps you have the life you want, it will then attract others into your life that are easier to work with and live with, too.

There is also another benefit to learning the Emotional Guidance Scale.

Knowing where someone else is on the Emotional Scale will help you to know if you want to have that person in your life or allow them to fade harmoniously away.

The most important way to use this scale is to note where you are on it and to then use other things I've written (and will write about) in this blog and in my daily free email coaching to rise up the scale so that you have a better life.

It is not recommended that you ever use this scale to judge others outwardly.

That is where allowing comes in.

Your purpose is to work on yourself.  Allow all others to improve themselves or not.

As people notice your improved life, they may ask you how you are doing it and you can then refer them to this type of information.  Otherwise, let all continue to attract into their own life while you go about creating your own perfect life, better and better.

What you can do to help you rise up the Scale will be the topic of tomorrow's post.

Are We Addicted To Our Emotions?

Have you ever wondered if you are addicted to your current emotions and thus your recurring situation?

Let's take a look at that.  First, let's look at the basic Universal Laws.

Law of Attraction simply states "Like attracts like."

Law of Deliberate Intention states "That which we put our dominant attention on we attract, that which we put our dominant attention on with strong emotion, we attract faster."

These laws do not distinguish between whether the thing you are giving your attention to and feeling emotions about are wanted or unwanted.

You would think, that someone who is constantly sick or always needing more money could apply the Laws of the Universe deliberately once they know them, but that is not always the case.

So then, maybe there is something else going on.

There is also the Law of Allowing which states I can receive or allow that which I want and allow all others whatever they want too.

Not allowing, not believing, having doubts, having mis-emotions about other people's choices causes resistance and dis-allows manifestation.

But what would cause us to "dis-allow" that which we so strongly want?

Could we be "addicted" to our emotions and conditions?

Per Candice Pert, Pharmacologist and a leading investigator into ways that the mind talks with the body:
"Emotions are neuropeptides attaching to receptors and stimulating an electrical change on neurons. The mind exists not only in the brain. Neuropeptides are also produced by the spleen, thymus, bone marrow, lymph glands, and the dorsal horn of the spine. Neuropeptides produced by the brain, arriving to open receptors in the intestines, are the root of the expression 'gut feeling'.

So emotions are chemicals. I appreciate that many of us will not value the knowledge when told that the wondrous feelings of true love are down to a cascade of chemicals; the release of hormones into the blood stream, the pulse of electric currents along the neurons.

But there is no longer any doubt that our basic emotions are hardwired into the human system. Consider the behavior of babies and young children. They exhibit a whole range of emotions, from rage to pure pleasure, and while the activating cause of the emotion is often plainly seen, there is no evidence of reason - in the sense of conscious awareness - in their behavior.

There are other hormones and chemicals produced by the body when you feel sadness, stress, worry, and all the emotions.

So yes, to some degree we are physically “addicted” to our current emotional states and conditions.

But there is so much more to “addiction”. As anyone who has ever tried to quit smoking or stop using some drug will tell you, there is also the psychological addiction of habits you have acquired related to this pattern of life you are currently inhabiting.

So to answer the question: Are we addicted to our emotions and conditions?

The answer for most will probably be “yes”.

To find out if that is the answer for you, look around and see if no matter how much you have learned and applied the Laws of the Universe, created by the Creator, God, you still have basically the same life as you did when you started.

Then yes, you too are addicted to your unwanted emotions and conditions.

However, I did not give you all that information so that you can then be a “victim” of addiction and give yourself an excuse to not have the life you want.

I gave you that information so that you can truly look at your own life and become more aware of where you are and where you want to be so that you can more deliberately apply the tools I’ve given you in this

Drama, Drama, Drama!

I don't watch much TV but the other day, after some
decorating show on HGTV, there was a commercial for some
reality show, some real housewives of somewhere.

And just during that commercial, I could not believe how much
drama there was.

I thought, "my goodness", how things have changed.

What a change from the older shows.

It made me think back to shows like "Leave it to Beaver"
and "Father Knows Best" and all those wholesome shows of
the 50's.  (I saw them in re-runs  ;-)   )

I don't think anyone's home life was as perfect as those
older shows, but I also don't think that anyone's life
has as much drama in it as that reality show I saw on the
commercial.

But for sake of this discussion, what if you really did
have that much drama in your life?

Do you really want it to stay that way?

I wouldn't!

To change your life to reduce whatever "drama" you have pertaining to

illness, upset relationships, upset over money,
challenges at work, whatever it is, the first step is

QUIT GOING ON AND ON AND ON ABOUT IT!!!!

You need to STOP any drama and start to tell a better story.

Find a better feeling thought.  Focus on something happy.

Keep doing this and using all the tools you have been
learning about here and if you have any "drama" in your
life, it will reduce until it is all gone.

And what a relief that will be!

It's Just Like Popping Popcorn

"Have you noticed how long it takes popcorn to start popping?

But when it gets going, it really gets going.
And what started out as a few small kernels seems to multiply so much that it fills the pot and forces the lid off.

Persistence leads to progress.

Progress leads to momentum.

Momentum leads to tangible
results.

So get going...and blow the lid off!"

~Clifton Anderson

Most of the work of popping popcorn happens at the beginning when there are really no apparent signs of anything happening.

If you didn't already know that by just letting the popcorn pop longer it would become what you want, you would probably stop it and decide it didn't work.

But you do know, so you keep the heat on or keep the microwave going and let the popcorn pop to completion.

This is how life works.  You start something and don't immediately see any results so start thinking that the Law of Attraction really isn't working for you.

But if you knew that it most definitely was working, you would keep doing what you are doing and wait for those last few seconds when it all manifests.

That is how it works.  So keep desiring what you want, take any action you are inspired to take, believe and expect it to happen and in the last moments if well manifest.

Overcome Adversity

We have all had adversity of one type or another.

I am no exception.

The difference when you understand the Law of Attraction is that you know that you and you alone attracted it all.  However, you most certainly didn't attract it on purpose.

It came about from all the programs and patterns of thinking, talking and acting you have had running in your subconscious.

Below are some encouraging quotes to inspire you to get over any adversity you may be experiencing and move on to create your life deliberately the way you want it to be now.

Many great people have had trials and rose out of them better than ever and achieved huge successes.

So can you!

Enjoy!

Unknown Author:
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment
that something else is more important than fear.

Peter Sinclair:
Depression loses its power when fresh vision pierces the darkness.

Unknown Author:
Determination, patience and courage are the only things needed
to improve any situation.

Unknown Author:
Do not fear the winds of adversity. Remember: A kite rises
against the wind rather than with it.

Myla Kabat-Zinn:
Each difficult moment has the potential to open my eyes and open
my heart.

Norman Vincent Peale:
Enthusiasm releases the drive to carry you over obstacles and
adds significance to all you do.

Napoleon Hill:
Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with
it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.

Og Mandino:
Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed,
its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.

James Buckham:
Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a
soul nobler and stronger than it was before.

Are You Sabotaging Yourself?

Argue for your limitations and you get to keep them.

Just because something has been a certain way doesn't mean
it must stay that way now.

Decide to start to change and believe a change is possible.

Do not be the person who sabotages yourself!

I see this all the time with people.

They tell me their issues and then tell me how and why
it is impossible to make a change.

It is never impossible to make a change.

The first step is to decide to change, then believe, even
if just a little bit that it is possible to do so.

For things to change, something will have to change.

Start now.  Let your old beliefs go and create a new
belief about something right now.

No matter how much "evidence" you have attracted to prove
"how right you are" in the unwanted situation, decide
it can change.

Would you rather be right or be happy?

Think about it.

Here is to you creating a shift in your life to the better!

My Thoughts Create My Physical Experience

The idea of "success," for most people, revolves around money
or the acquisition of property or other possessions--but we consider
a state of joy as the greatest achievement of success.

And while the attainment of money and wonderful possessions certainly
can enhance your state of joy, the achievement of a good-feeling
physical body is by far the greatest factor for maintaining a continuing state of joy and Well-Being.

Every part of your life is experienced through the perspective of
your physical body, and when you feel good, everything you see
looks better.

Certainly it is possible to maintain a good attitude even when
your physical body is diminished in some way, but a good-feeling
body is a powerful basis for an ongoing good attitude.

Thomas Edison's "Failures" To Success

"After struggling to develop a viable electric light-bulb for
months and months, Thomas Edison was interviewed by a young
reporter who boldly asked Mr. Edison if he felt like a failure
and if he thought he should just give up by now.

Perplexed, Edison replied, "Young man, why would I feel like a
failure? And why would I ever give up?

I now know definitively over 9,000 ways that an electric light
bulb will not work. Success is almost in my grasp."

And shortly after that, and over 10,000 attempts,
Edison invented the light bulb."

Nothing has a meaning until you give it one.

So find the positive in whatever is happening.

Nine Ways To Be More Positive

Being positive and being high vibration allows you to attract more things in your life to be positive about.

Here are 9 ways that you can be more positive.

1. Appreciate as much as you can. This is one of those very simple things you can do to bring more positivity in to your life. I have also found appreciation to be a great way to turn an angry, sad and frustrated mood around to a more positive one.

2. Stop comparing yourself to others. If you don´t then you´ll just create a lot of unnecessary pain in your life. If you pass one person then you´ll just find another person more successful than you. And your brief sense of being a winner will transform once again into anxiety, fear, tummy-aches and possibly heart-attacks.

3. Realize that it is possible to choose how you react. You don´t have live your life in reaction. You have a choice. There is always a gap between stimuli and reaction. If you focus on that gap it will widen and although it might seem in the beginning like stimuli and your reaction are tied together that is not the case.

4. Educate yourself. Self-education can be a great help to live a more positive life. Read great books on the areas of your life you want to improve. Maybe it’s it your financial situation. Or your health. Or your relationships. Ask people with more success in that area than you what they did to improve.

5. Act as if. Your emotions work backwards too. So even if you don´t feel positive, confident, calm or decisive you can act like it. And after you have done that for a few minutes, guess what happens? You will actually start to feel positive, confident, calm or decisive.

6. Live in the now. Don´t let your thoughts drift into the past or future more than necessary. It’s often a sure-fire way to start negative loops of thoughts in your mind.

7. Do some mental rehearsal. This is great way to improve your performance and decrease anxiety in any upcoming situation. Maybe you´re heading into a meeting soon. Then visualize now how great the events will unfold – see and hear it – and also how great will you feel at this meeting.

8. Redefine failure. Michael Jordan once said: “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

9. Focus on what you want, not on what you don´t want. One common problem is to focus your thoughts on what you don´t want rather than what you want. If you do that then it will be hard to get what you want in life. If you want to improve your finances then focus on having a great financial situation rather than your lack of money and your debts.

Practice these 9 things often until they just become habit and you will see the positive improvements in your own life.

If you need additional help being positive or learning and applying Universal Laws to improve your own life, then please get my new ebook and audio training available here:  http://joyfulsuccessstore.com/loa.

The Greatest Secret by Earl Nightingale - Video & Complete Transcript

This is Earl Nightingale. I’d like to tell you about the strangest secret in the world.

Some years ago Albert Schweitzer, the the great doctor and nobel prize winner, was being interviewed in Londonand a reporter asked him “Doctor, what’s wrong with men today?”

The great doctor was saddened for a moment and then he said, “Men don’t think”.

And it is about this that I want to talk to you.

We live today in a golden age.

This is an era that man has looked forward to, dreamed of, and worked toward for thousands of years but since it’s here, we pretty well take it for granted.

Ours is a land of abundant opportunity for everyone.

But you know what happens?

Let’s take 100 men and we’ll start even, at the age of 25. If you’d ask any one of them if they wanted to be a success, he’d tell you he did and you’d notice that he was eager toward life.

There was a certain sparkle to his eye. An erectness to his carriage and life seemed like a pretty interesting adventure to him but by the time these men reached 65, only 5 would have made the grade.

Only 5 are successful.

When we say only 5% achieve success we have to define success and here’s the definition:

“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.”

If a man is working toward a predetermined goal and knows where he’s going that man is a success.

If he is not doing that, he’s a failure.

Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.

Rollo May, the distinguished psychiatrist, wrote a wonderful book called Man’s Search for Himself and in this book he says

“The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it’s conformity”

A survey was made one time that covered a lot of men, working men and these men were asked, “where do you work?

Why do you get up in the morning?” 19 out of 20 had no idea.

They simply said “everyone goes to work in the morning” and that’s the reason they do it: because everyone else is doing it.

And there you have the trouble today.

It’s conformity.

People acting like everyone else without knowing why, without knowing where they’re going.

Now, we learn to read by the time we’re 7. We learn to make a living by the time we’re 25.

Usually by that time, we’re not only earning a living, we’re supporting a family.

And yet by the time we’re 65 the great majority hasn’t learned how to become financially independent in the richest land that has ever been known.

Why?

They conform.

They’re acting like the wrong percentage group, the 95% that don’t succeed.

Why do these people conform?

Well let’s get back to our definition of success.

Who succeeds?

The only man who succeeds is the man who is progressively realizing a worthy ideal.

He is the man who says “I’m going to become this” and then begins to work toward that goal. He succeeds because he knows where he’s going.

Think of a ship leaving a harbor.

Think of him with a complete voyage all mapped out and planned.

The captain and crew know exactly where the ship is going and how long it will take. It has a definite goal and it will reach that goal.

Now let’s take another ship, just like the first.

Only let’s not put a crew on it or a captain at the helm. Let’s give it no aiming point, no goal no destination.

We just start the engines and let it go. I think you’ll agree with me that if it gets out of the harbor at all, it will wind up at some deserted beach a derelict.

It can’t go anyplace because it has no destination, no guidance and it’s the same of the human being.

I’ll tell you who the successful people are: a success is a schoolteacher who’s teaching school because that’s what he or she wanted to do.

The success is the woman who is a wife and mother because she wanted to become a wife and mother and is doing a great job at it.

The success is the man who runs the corner gas station because that’s what he wants to do.

The success is the successful salesman who want to be top salesman and grow and build with his organization.

A success is anyone who is doing deliberately a predetermined job because that is what he decided to do deliberately but only 1 out of 20 does that.

That’s why today there isn’t really any competition unless we make it for ourselves.

Instead of competing all we have to do is create.

For twenty years I looked for the key which would determine what would happen to a human being.

Was there a key, I wanted to know, which would make the future a promise that we can foretell to a large extent?

Was there a key that could guarantee a person’s becoming successful if he only knew about it and knew how to use it?

Well there is such a key and I found it. Here’s the key to success and the key to failure.

We become what we think about.

Now let me say that again, we become what we think about.

Throughout all history, the great wise men and teachers, philosophers and prophets have disagreed with one another on many different things.

It’s only on this one point that they’re in complete and unanimous agreement.

Buddha said “all we are is what we thought about.”

Marcus Aurelius said “a man’s life is what his thoughts make of it”

Disraeli said this: “Everything comes if a man will only wait. I’ve brought myself by long meditation to the conviction that a human being with a settled purpose must accomplish it, and that nothing can resist a will that will stake even existence for its fulfillment.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson said this: “a man is what he thinks about all day long.”

William James said “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.”

And George Bernard Shaw said: “People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, they make them.”

Well it’s pretty apparent, isn’t it? We become what we think about. It stands to reason that a person who’s thinking about a definite and worthwhile goal is going to reach it because that’s what he’s thinking about and we become what we think about.

Conversely, the man who has no goal doesn’t know where he’s going and his thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion and thoughts of anxiety, fear and worry, becomes what he thinks about. His life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry.

And if he thinks about nothing, he becomes nothing.

You see, the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we plant in it.

Now, you might say, “If that’s true, why don’t people use their minds more? Why don’t they till their fertile mental soil?”

We have the answer to that too.

Our mind comes as standard equipment at birth. It’s free and things that have been given to us we place little value upon. Things that we pay money for we value. The paradox is that exactly the reverse is true.

Everything that is really worthwhile in life came to us free: our minds, our soul, our bodies, our hopes, our dreams, our ambitions, our intelligence, our love of our families, and children and friends.

All these priceless possessions are free but the things that cost us money are actually very cheap and can be replaced at any time.

A good man can be completely wiped out and make another fortune. He can do that several times.

Even if our homes burn down we can rebuild them but the things we got for nothing.

The really valuable possessions, we can never replace.

The human mind isn’t used merely because we take it for granted. It can do any kind of a job we assign to it but generally speaking, we use it for little jobs instead of big important ones. Universities tell us that we are operating on about 10% of our abilities.

Decide now.

What is it that you want?

Find your goal in your mind.

Give yourself direction and a destination.

It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your life.

You see, the very law that gives us success is a two way sword.

We must control our thinking.

The same rule that can lead a man to a life of success, wealth, happiness and all the things he’s dreamed of for himself and his family—that very same law—can lead him into the gutter. It’s all in how he uses it, for good or bad.

This is the strangest secret in the world.

Remember these words from the Sermon on the Mount and remember them well. Keep them constantly before you.

“Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be open unto you. For everyone that asketh, receiveth and he that seeketh, findeth and him that knocketh, it shall be open.”

It’s as marvelous and as simple as that. In fact it’s so simple that in our seemingly complicated world it’s difficult for an adult to understand that all he needs is a purpose and faith.

Above all, don’t worry. Worry brings fear and fear is crippling. The only thing that can cause you to worry is trying to do it all yourself.

Know that all you have to do is hold your goal before you. Everything else will take care of itself. Remember also to keep calm and cheerful.

Don’t let petty things annoy you and get you off course. Prosperity is founded upon the law of mutual exchange: any person who contributes to prosperity must prosper in turn himself. Sometimes the return will not come from those you serve but it must come to you from some place.

That’s the law. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

There are no exceptions to a law. You can drive down any street inAmericaand from your car estimate the service that’s being rendered by the people living on that street. Have you ever thought of this yardstick before? It’s interesting.

Once this law is fully understood, any thinking person can tell his own fortune. If he wants more, he must be of more service to those from whom he receives his return. If he wants less, he is only to reduce this service.

This is the price you must pay for what you want. If you believe you can enrich yourself by deluding others you can end only by deluding yourself. It may take some time but just as sure as you breathe, you’ll get back what you put out.

The prisons and the streets where the lonely walk are filled with people who have tried to make new laws just for themselves.

We may sometimes avoid the laws of men but there are greater laws that can’t be broken.

One time I heard grove Patterson the other great chief of the Toledo Daily Blade make a speech and as he concluded his speech he said something that I’ve never forgotten.

He said “My years in the newspaper business have convinced me of several things. Among them: that people are basically good and that we came from some place and that we’re going someplace. So we should make our time here an exciting adventure.

The architect of the universe didn’t build a stairway leading nowhere.”

And the greatest teacher of all, the carpenter from the plains of Galilea gave us the secret time and time again, “as you believe, so shall it be done unto you.”

WARNING! Don't End The Year Unless You Know For Certain Where You Are Vibrationally

There are great vibrational shifts going on and
they will only increase as we get closer to the
end of the year and begin the new year.

I have done all I can to get free information out
to everyone to help them improve their vibration
so that they are prepared for this.

However, for many, this has not been enough.

Most people are so unaware of what is holding

Are You Being Your Authentic Self?

You hear people say "be your authentic self" and you might think yes, I am, but are you really?

Over the years, I’ve had different friends and associates tell me I was “authentic” and that was one of the things they liked and admired about me. I always appreciated what they said as a nice compliment and went about my business.
A friend that I met on Twitter, Tom Ziglar, (son of Zig Ziglar) and I started chatting years ago and he said that a large part of what he learned about success from his father was to be authentic and he gave me that great compliment in my twitter stream.
The other day, a very good friend whom I now hear from only once a month or so called me because something happened in his life.

Manifestation

Manifestation is the ability to hold, focus and direct our creative energies into form.

In general, most people tend to disperse their creative energies - their life force - because they have not been taught that these energies are the key to manifesting their dreams and heart's desires.

In order to manifest, we must be able to hold those creative energies in the vessel of our body until, with our intention, focus and direction, we send them out to create something we desire.

For those that are not used to the feeling in their bodies that the build up of these energies generates. It can get intense, and so they seek to disperse the energy, usually through patterns of addictive behavior. Their energy is scattered everywhere and, much like buckshot, little if any of it hits the target. If we recognize these patterns and learn instead to cultivate our creative fire, then manifestation on every level is possible.
